D.L.M.X. - Wales' Premier Motocross Club

 CLASSES

D.L.M.X. offer a rider class for all ages and abilities for both solo's and quads from 6 years of age:

SOLO'S:

  • 65cc

  • 85cc small wheel

  • 85cc big wheel

  • 125cc youth

  • Adult A - Senior / Expert

  • Adult B - Intermediate

  • Adult C - Clubman / Novice

QUADS:

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. There will be NO riding of any motorcycles in the Paddock/Race Area (See Rules 8&9 below). All motorcycle and quad competitors will use the designated pit-lane routes (where provided) at all times and at walking pace only.
  2. All competitors will comply with the Marshal's Flag and instructions at all times.
  3. All competitors (or their parent / guardian) must ensure that their machine, which they are going to race, must be signed in, and that their race number, membership, and O.R.P.A. licence are valid for that meeting.
  4. All competition machines must undergo a safety check (scrutineering) prior to being allowed out for practice and racing.  The person presenting the machine must sign the scrutineering sheet alongside the competitor's race number.  If more than one machine is brought with the intention of being used in competition, all machines MUST be checked and signed in.  Any competitor found to be using a machine without having been checked will be disqualified from the meeting.
  5. Any complaints, disputes, or disagreements must be brought to the attention of an official as soon as possible, (there is an official selected for each class entry).
  6. Any rider, relative of the rider (or associate of the rider) who threatens, commits or causes any kind of violence to any other member or Official of DREDGERS LAUGHARNE MOTOCROSS CLUB, will have an immediate ban from the club.  They will be required to leave that event immediately, and will not be allowed entry or access to any event or property that the club is in control of.
  7. The lap scorers' and pont recorders decision on the day is final.  (If a query is lodged on teh day, it will be examined and a decision will be made and posted on the next race meeting).  Riders are also responsible for their race numbers on their machines to b legible and visible.
  8. There will be NO motorised scooters, pit / paddock bikes or any other form of adapted, motorised transport (apart from Medical abd Official vehicles) aalowed travellng, around, through, in any part of the paddock, parking area, or track area of any DLMXC venues.  Violation of this rule will / may require the offenders or owners of the vehicles to vacate the area and leave the meeting.
  9. The pit-lane (where provided) will be used at all times by race machines to travel to and from the paddock / start line. Exits will be provided at intervals for access to the rider's race van / vehicle. At NO time will the motorcycle be ridden from or to the pit-lane in the paddock area. The rider will be required to dismount and walk along side their machine. Should a pit-lane not be provided then all machines will be required to be pushed to and from the start / finish areas.
  10. No rider wull be allowed to change classes before or after a race wuthout notifying the club steward.
  11. All competitors must wear approved protection clothing when competing in any of the clubs authorised meetings, all riders aged 16 and under, must wear a protective neck brace / protector.
  12. Competitors must only practice in their own classes, practice in a lower or higher class than what you race will not be allowed.  Only one practice period is allowed per class.
  13. There are NO facilities at any of DLMXC tracks, for discarded rubbish.  All personal waste and discarded packages are to be collected and removed from the field and disposed of at the owner's home address.
  14. NO unauthorised person may move into or onto the track area from the designated viewing places.  Where track crossings are provided, these MUST be used to enter / leave spectator viewing area.. There will be no testing or revving of competition engines before scrutineering has been completed, due to close residential areas.  Respect the local residents and they will respect the club.
  15. Wilful and disriminate damage to any property of DLMXC, Landowner, competitor or spectator property, such as damage to property (eg. stakes, ropes, fencing, hedgrow, vehicles, toilets etc) will seriously jeopardise future meetings, venues and the club.  As such, this will be taken extremely seriously and will undoubtedly lead to legal acton by any claimant (eg. club, landowner etc.) against those causing the damage.
  16. Toilets are provided for the benefit and comfort of all who attend DLMX meetings.  Please treat them sensibly - DO NOT abuse them, or DLMXC will be forced to stop supplying them.
  17. No rider can change and race, his or her machine, without first obtaining permission fro m he club officials: this may be granted provided that the machine meets the required criteria.  Riders who bring a support machine, and rely on it to be used, must have it also scrutinised at the allotted time before racing.
  18. All persons attending any of the club meetings are o abide by all arning notices and prohibited signs when and where they are displayed or ereced at their meetings.
  19. It will be at the discretion of the COMMITEE DLMXC and any other persons they may wish to elect, to alllow or refuse membership to anybody who may wish to join the club, or allow any person wishing to spectate or enter into any race meeting that they may promote.
  20. IF INSUFFICIENT NUMBERS OR MASHALS ENROL ON THE DAY OF A MEETING, THEN THE CUB WILL HAVE TO SELECT AT RANDOMFROM THE LIST OF RIDERS, SO THAT THE MEETING MAY GO AHEAD.  A LIST OF RIDER SUPPLIED MARSHALS WILL BE KEPT, SO THE SAME RIDERS MARSHALLS ARE NOT CONTINUALLY USED.
  21. DLMXC reserve the right to change, alter or add any of the above rules which they deem fit to benefit the said club without prior notice.
  22. The clubs committee will deal with any infringement of the above rules, accordingly.
  23. Dredgers Laugharne Motocross Club DOES NOT provide personal insurance. You are advised to take out your own personal accident insurance policy with a company such as 'Combined Insurance'. For further details visit www.combinedinsurance.co.uk
  24. If a bike becomes excessively noisy during a race, the clerk of the course or club steward may stop the machine from completing the race.
  25. Payment will not be refunded once a rider has gone out for practice.
