Well, it happenend! Despite some of the worst weather to surely ever have graced Pendine Sands.... DLMX first beach race was ran on February 4th 2012.  Motorsport was officially back on Pendine Beach and what a day it was.  The track was fast, flowing and in great shape.  The very nature of Pendine meant the jumps all held up well and the long straight was something that had to be experienced to be believed.....awesome!

It is fair to say the event in whole was a good success.  Due to riders entering well in advance, we were able to start nice and early, races were one after each other mainly without interruption, and we were all home at a good time -any longer on the beach and we'd all have been swimming!

DLMX would like to say a big thank you to all that were involved in the event, and for the hard work and effort that was put into making such a day possible:  The commitee officials and organisers for the many meetings and arrangement that were necessary; the first aiders and ambulance crew, who were on constant standby and attended those in need; the marshals who literally by the end of the day were so cold they were frozen to the spot; the lap scorers, who really had their work cut out with the conditions; the riders, who turned up in their numbers; the spectators, despite the weather there was still a great turnout on the beach; and Pendine Community Council for facilitating the event and their continued support.

It is true - following our first event on the beach, lessons will

be learnt and improvements will be made.  But who can wait until the next Pendine Beach race on the 4th of March, I know I can't!
